China's exports jump 36.3 per cent in September as high-technology demand drives trade

China's exports rose 36.3 per cent year on year in September, according to customs figures released on Wednesday.
That was faster than the 25 per cent rise recorded in August.
Imports grew 31 per cent year on year, up from a 28.2 per cent rise in August.
The growth was led by high-technology goods, with semiconductors and automatic data processing machines among the fastest-rising categories.
The figures come as China's trading partners, including the European Union, press it to rebalance trade.
