Draft Petroleum (Amendment) Bill, 2026 released for public consultation

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has hosted the draft Petroleum (Amendment) Bill, 2026 on its website on 30th September, 2026.
An explanatory note giving a brief overview of the amendments accompanies it.
The exercise is described as pre-legislative consultation.
Stakeholders and the public may send comments to the Under Secretary (Distribution) on or before 30th October 2026.
Inputs received will be duly examined.
