Forest department's Workation remote-work scheme runs as a pilot at Gavi and will be extended to Suryanelli and Wagamon

The Forest department's Workation scheme, which lets information technology professionals stay at a forest site and work, is running as a government pilot project at Gavi in Pathanamthitta district.
The site is near the Kerala Forest Development Corporation's Gavi Green Mansion, and the Corporation runs operations there.
Chief Minister V D Satheesan inaugurated the scheme at the state level in Thiruvananthapuram.
Minister Shibu Baby John, who evaluated the operations at Gavi, said the scheme will soon start at Suryanelli and Wagamon.
Actor Kunchacko Boban accompanied the Minister on the visit.
K U Jenish Kumar, MLA, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Pramod G Krishnan, Chief Conservator of Forests P P Pramod and Kerala Forest Development Corporation Managing Director Raju K Francis took part.
