Background
The India-Ukraine Joint Statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office records that diplomatic relations were established between the two countries in the year 1992.
It describes the visit as the first ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine, and says ties have strengthened significantly over the last three decades.

Ukraine welcomed the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding on High Impact Community Development Projects, enabling projects funded through Indian grant assistance.
The sides also welcomed the conclusion of a bilateral Programme of Cultural Cooperation.
India thanked Ukraine for its help in evacuating Indian students from Ukraine in the early months of the year 2022, and sought easier visa and registration facilities for Indian nationals and students.
