Piyush Goyal concludes Germany visit with Berlin meetings on trade, investment and research

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal concluded his two-day official visit to Germany with engagements in Berlin on 23 October 2026. He held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Levin Holle, Economic and Financial Policy Advisor and G7/G20 Sherpa at the German Federal Chancellery. He held individual meetings with Siemens Healthineers AG Chief Executive Officer Mr. Bernd Montag, Bertelsmann Executive Board member and Bertelsmann Investments Chief Executive Officer Mr. Carsten Coesfeld, and Volkswagen AG Chief Financial Officer and Skoda Auto Chief Executive Officer Mr. Holger Peters. He took part in a roundtable with leaders of German industrial research institutions and a roundtable with heads of selected Fraunhofer Institutes covering microelectronics, power electronics, logistics, smart manufacturing, industrial innovation and battery technologies. He also interacted with Indian researchers and students based in Germany and with members of the Indian diaspora in Berlin.
