SASSA moves November social grant payment dates ahead of the local government elections

The South African Social Security Agency announced revised November 2026 grant payment dates on 15 October 2026.
The Older Persons Grant will be paid on Friday, 30 October 2026, and the Disability Grant on Monday, 2 November 2026.
Children's Grants will be paid on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, and beneficiaries whose grants are under review will be paid on Thursday, 5 November 2026.
The National Treasury approved the revised dates, which follow stakeholder consultations.
The change was made around the Local Government Elections of 4 November 2026.
The Agency asked beneficiaries under review to respond to official communication and not to visit its offices unnecessarily.
