Seven World Heritage properties in Tanzania, from the Serengeti to the Stone Town of Zanzibar

The Kilimanjaro figure used in today's geography item comes from one of these same UNESCO listings.
UNESCO lists seven World Heritage properties in Tanzania: three cultural, three natural and one mixed.
The cultural properties are the Ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani and Ruins of Songo Mnara, the Stone Town of Zanzibar and the Kondoa Rock-Art Sites.
The natural properties are Serengeti National Park, Selous Game Reserve and Kilimanjaro National Park.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the single mixed property, inscribed in 1979 and extended in 2010.
Tanzania ratified the World Heritage Convention on 2 August 1977.

Total properties: 7 Cultural: 3 Natural: 3 Mixed: 1 - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Why it matters for exams: The count of a country's World Heritage properties and which one is mixed rather than natural are repeat questions.
