A four-tier Narco-Coordination Centre and a database of arrested offenders: the machinery Keralam wants strengthened

Keralam's letter to the Centre asks for faster working of two existing central mechanisms.
The Government of India has constituted a four-tier Narco-Coordination Centre (NCORD) mechanism to coordinate Central and State agencies.
NIDAAN stands for the National Integrated Database on Arrested Narco-Offenders.
Both figure among the measures set out by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The same reply said the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan had been launched in all districts of the country and had reached more than 24.9 crore people.
