Naval Aviation of the Armada Argentina completed a deployment across the command area covering Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands. Crews trained in cold-weather flying with T-34 Turbo Mentor trainers from the Escuela de Aviación Naval, Fennec and H-3 Sea King helicopters, a Beechcraft B-200 of the Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Vigilancia Marítima and a Lockheed P-3C Orion of the Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Exploración. They operated from Base Aeronaval Río Grande, which marked its anniversary on the final day, and Base Naval Ushuaia "Almirante Berisso". Joint training was held with the Brigada de Infantería de Marina Austral, including Naval Infantry Battalion N°5, and surface units of the División Patrullado Austral, all under the Comando del Área Naval Austral. Captain Mariano Andrés Rivolta led the deployment.
