Assam to supply subsidised sugar at Rs 30 to NFSA beneficiaries for October

The Assam Cabinet on 24 September 2026 decided to supply subsidised sugar at Rs 30 to National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries for October 2026.
Beneficiaries will get both masur dal and sugar for Rs 100 in October, the Chief Minister said.
The Cabinet approved granting the minimum of the pay scale to an additional 166 muster roll, casual and fixed-pay workers with effect from 1 September 2026.
It also gave ex post facto approval to an executive order allowing Aadhaar enrolment of eligible women members of Self-Help Groups until March 31.
