Odisha set out a long-term clean-energy vision for 2047 at its State Plenary on Investment Opportunities in the Renewable Energy Sector in Odisha.
The plenary was part of the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2026 in New Delhi.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi named three goals: to become a leading clean-energy destination, to be one of India's top five power-exporting states, and to be the clean-energy engine of eastern India.
He said the State will keep a stable and predictable policy framework, clear projects within fixed time limits and build strong transmission infrastructure.
He invited industry leaders and investors to partner with Odisha.
Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, who was present, called Odisha strategically important to India's clean-energy transition.
He pointed to the State's natural resources, industrial strengths and port infrastructure as its advantages for investment.
