ODRAF, NDRF and Fire Services put on high alert as Odisha reviews Cyclone Arnab

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a high-level meeting at the Office of the Special Relief Commissioner on Cyclone Arnab.
The meeting went over the damage done, the rescue work under way and the arrangements for distributing relief.
He directed that electricity, drinking water supply and communication services be restored quickly, with the safety of people in the affected areas treated as the first priority.
ODRAF, NDRF and Fire Services were told to stay on high alert.
He also asked for coordination between departments so that assistance is delivered on a war footing.
The Office of the Special Relief Commissioner is the state body through which Odisha runs its disaster response.
Odisha maintains ODRAF as its own standing disaster response force alongside the central NDRF battalions.
