Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that Delhi will begin enforcing rules against vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control certificate from 1 October 2026.
The announcement was made while inaugurating an Automated Testing Station at Burari.
The Burari station can test 40,000 heavy motor vehicles and 60,000 light motor vehicles a year.
Another Automated Testing Station at Tehkhand, inaugurated on 3 September, has a capacity of about 72,000 vehicles a year.
Cameras are to be installed at all PUC centres that issue certificates, and the monitoring of these centres is to be strengthened through technology.
Transport Minister Pankaj Singh was present at the inauguration.
