Gan Kim Yong and Wang Wentao co-chair the eighth Singapore-China Investment Promotion Committee meeting

Singapore and China held the eighth Investment Promotion Committee meeting on 13 October 2026.
The meeting was held virtually rather than in person.
It was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Trade) Gan Kim Yong.
His counterpart was the Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, Wang Wentao.
The two sides were represented by Singapore's Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry and China's Ministry of Commerce.
The Investment Promotion Committee is one of the standing mechanisms of the Singapore-China economic relationship.
