INCOIS issues Kallakkadal alert for Thiruvananthapuram coast from Kappil to Pozhiyoor

The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has warned of possible sea attack (kadalakramanam) from high waves along Thiruvananthapuram district's coast, from Kappil to Pozhiyoor.
Waves of 0.9 to 1.1 metres are expected until 11:30 pm on 9 October.
The alert relates to the Kallakkadal phenomenon, a sudden rough-sea event.
The Kerala Information and Public Relations Department carried the advisory on 8 October 2026.
