Iveco Group keeps its Turin headquarters after Tata Motors takes control

Executives of Tata Motors said in Turin on 3 November that the Iveco Group will go on being headquartered in the city now that the Indian company controls it. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Motors, and Tata Motors chief executive Girish Wagh said the distinctive identity of Iveco's brands, its people and its industrial presence would be kept. They added that Tata Motors will support the Iveco Group's current strategy and investment plans and that the two will work together to create more value for customers. Iveco officially became part of the Tata Group on 30 October, when the Indian company held 89.42 per cent of its shares. Business Standard reported that the stake came through a tender offer at 14.40 euro a share and that the buyout of the remaining shares was continuing. Iveco builds trucks, buses and other commercial vehicles and is one of Italy's best known industrial names.
