Kerala invites applications for a district art troupe of differently abled artistes under the Rhythm scheme
2 November 2026
Kerala has invited applications to form a district-level art troupe of differently abled artistes under the Rhythm scheme, which the Social Justice Department runs with the Kerala Social Security Mission. Differently abled persons below 45 years of age with ability in music, dance, performing arts or instrumental music may apply. In the first stage an applicant sends in an application with a performance video of not more than five minutes. Those shortlisted then face a direct screening before an expert committee. Applicants must produce a UDID card or a disability certificate issued by a medical board. Members chosen for the troupe will perform at government programmes, and what the troupe earns is to be passed on to the artistes. Application forms are on the Kerala Social Security Mission website, and the last date is November 7.
