Kerala to frame a new women's policy and announce it on the next International Women's Day, Minister Bindu Krishna says

Labour and Women and Child Development Minister Bindu Krishna said the State will frame a new comprehensive women's policy aimed at women's safety and mental health.
Suggestions and opinions will be collected from various sections of society, and the policy is to be announced on the next International Women's Day.
She said departmental monitoring and strict inspections will be used to make sure complaint cells work in every institution, and called it serious that women who complain still fear losing their jobs or being humiliated.
Under the POSH Act 2013 an internal complaints committee must function in every establishment with ten or more employees.
She spoke at a state level seminar on the POSH Act 2013 and women's mental health organised by the Women's Commission at the Thaikkad Government Rest House, Thiruvananthapuram. Commission chairperson Adv. P. Satheedevi said the protection of existing laws will reach women only if men too are made aware.

Why it matters for exams: A new state policy with a stated announcement date, tied to a named central Act, is exactly the kind of current affairs fact Kerala PSC asks about.
