Nominations have been invited from two groups: nominees of political parties represented in the State Legislative Assembly, and active workers in food safety and consumer protection, both from Kozhikode district.
Each nomination must state the nominee's name, address, email address and the political party or consumer organisation represented.
Nominations must be submitted to the District Supply Office by 31 October.

Why it matters for exams: Vigilance committees are a statutory grievance mechanism under the National Food Security Act and recur in governance questions.
