NASA releases over 800 GB of Artemis II lunar science data and more than 11,000 images and videos

On 7 October 2026 NASA released over 800 GB of Artemis II lunar science data, some of it previously unreleased.
The data was uploaded to NASA's Planetary Data System.
It includes more than 11,000 full-resolution images and videos from the crew's handheld cameras and Orion's cameras.
It also carries 8.5 hours of audio recordings of the crew's observations, and crew-annotated images.
The lunar flyby was on 6 April 2026 (Flight Day 6); the crew were Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.

Data released: over 800 GB Images and videos: more than 11,000 Crew audio: 8.5 hours Lunar flyby: 6 April 2026
Why it matters for exams: Artemis, Orion and crew details are frequent space-science questions, and the Planetary Data System is NASA's public data archive.
