NORKA Roots staff take the Bharanabhasha Malayalam pledge as Kerala's Administrative Language Week runs on

An administrative language conference was held at NORKA Roots in Thaikkad, Thiruvananthapuram, as part of Kerala's seventieth formation anniversary. Staff took a pledge titled Bharanabhasha Malayalam, that is, Administrative Language Malayalam. General Manager Prakash P. Joseph administered the oath, and staff of the other NORKA Roots centres joined online. Administrative Officer S. Sanukumar welcomed the gathering, and Section Officer V.I. Pradeepkumar of the Recruitment section proposed the vote of thanks. Competitions for staff are being held through November 7 as part of Administrative Language Week. NORKA Roots is the field agency of the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs Department, which handles the concerns of Keralites living outside the State and abroad.

Pledge: Bharanabhasha Malayalam Week runs to: November 7
Why it matters for exams: NORKA's full form and NORKA Roots as its field agency are standing Kerala PSC questions, and Malayalam is Kerala's official language under the 1969 Act.
