PGIMER Chandigarh named in Newsweek's World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 in five specialties

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has been included in Newsweek's "World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2027" list, prepared with the data firm Statista. PGIMER figures in five specialties: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Oncology, Paediatrics and Pulmonology. The ranking, the seventh edition of the list, was published on the Newsweek website on September 17 and also appears in the magazine's print edition; PGIMER announced its inclusion on October 26. Newsweek and Statista say the assessment considers reputation, accreditation and the implementation of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs). PGIMER Director Prof Vivek Lal said the recognition reflects the work of the institute's faculty, residents, nursing, technical and support staff.
