Rs 626.92 crore sanctioned for the Sarli-Huri section of the Frontier Highway in Kurung Kumey

The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, sanctioned Rs 626.92 crore for the construction of package-1 of NH-913, the Frontier Highway, in Arunachal Pradesh.
The package covers the 35 km Sarli-Huri section.
It lies in Kurung Kumey district.
The work is to be executed on Engineering, Procurement and Construction mode.
The stated purposes are to improve traffic flow and security, to provide year-round access to villages, and to support socio-economic development in the hilly areas of the district.
The sanction was announced in a release issued on 6 February 2024.
