29 October 2026
The Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland has informed the public of a revised schedule for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, 2026. The Election Commission of India made the change by a letter dated 29.10.2026. In Nagaland the notice phase, in which claims and objections are disposed of, now continues till the 25th of November. The final electoral roll is to be published on 30th November. The same order of the poll body also stretched the timelines in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Haryana and Delhi. Five of these, Nagaland included, are due to publish final rolls on that date, while Delhi follows later. A final roll is the list of voters used for the elections that follow it.
