Wokha hosts the State Handloom Expo 'Hathkargha Mela' on the theme 'My Handloom, My Pride'

The State Handloom Expo (SHE), named the "Hathkargha Mela", opened at the Public Ground in Wokha on 28th October 2026. Its theme is "My Handloom, My Pride". The word hathkargha means handloom, so the name simply means a handloom fair. At the expo, weavers and artisans from different parts of Nagaland and the wider region show and sell their work. The expo is meant to give them better access to buyers and to wider markets.
