Mega Job Fair Mela proposed for Kargil in December, NIELIT Ladakh director tells the Deputy Commissioner

Puntsog Toldan, Director of the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Ladakh, met Rakesh Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Kargil, to review the work of NIELIT Kargil. The centre runs skill development programmes, short-term training courses, artificial intelligence courses and digital literacy drives for students and young people in the district. A Mega Job Fair Mela is proposed for Kargil in December 2026, to bring job seekers together with employers and recruiting organisations and to offer career guidance. The Deputy Commissioner praised the institute's work in digital education and technical skills and asked for closer coordination between departments and other stakeholders. NIELIT is the Union government institute that certifies electronics and information technology skills across the country.
