Mohanlal named brand ambassador of Kathir, the Agriculture Department project for farm clubs in schools

Actor Mohanlal is the brand ambassador of Kathir, a project of the Agriculture Department run with the General Education Department. The aim is to make students aware of farming and draw them towards agriculture. As a first step, the project will set up Kathir agricultural clubs in 500 schools. The department plans to extend the clubs to all schools from the next academic year. The plan also gives weightage marks to students who take up farming. Nodal officers will be named to run the project, and officials have finished a two-day training in Thiruvananthapuram. Mohanlal offered the support of the ViswaSanthi Foundation, and Agriculture Minister T. Siddique welcomed his appointment.
