Survey of India and Austria's BEV sign a geoinformation memorandum

The Survey of India and Austria's Bundesamt fuer Eich- und Vermessungswesen (BEV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 13 October 2026. It was signed by India's Ambassador to Austria, Shambhu S. Kumaran, and the President of the BEV, Claus P. Kahn. The BEV is Austria's federal office for metrology and surveying and is its national surveying and mapping authority. The BEV said the memorandum creates a basis for technical exchange and deeper cooperation on geoinformation. On the same day the Embassy of India in Vienna held an India-Austria Space Industry Seminar. Austria is an EU member state, and its capital Vienna is also the seat of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs.
