Switzerland votes on 27 September 2026 on writing stricter neutrality into its constitution

Swiss voters went to the polls on 27 September 2026 on a proposal to enshrine stricter neutrality in the constitution.
The proposal, brought by the right-wing Swiss People's Party, would bar Switzerland from joining or cooperating with military alliances unless it is attacked, and from imposing sanctions without United Nations approval.
