Booth Level Officers, a qualifying date and a draft roll: how the Special Intensive Revision runs in Tripura
Background
The Election Commission of India is carrying out a Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls in Tripura.
Booth Level Officers make house-to-house visits from 6 November to 5 December.
The qualifying date for the revision is 1 January 2027, so a person who turns eighteen by that day can be enrolled.
The draft electoral rolls are to be published on 12 December.
The final rolls come out on 15 February 2027, after the period for claims and objections.
The Commission had earlier deferred the start of the revision, which was to have begun on 5 September, because of village committee elections in the State's tribal areas.
