Nine lakh children between two States: how far Saharsh and Anandam reach

Background

Saharsh in Tripura and Anandam in Uttarakhand together reach about nine lakh children.
Four lakh of them are in Tripura and five lakh in Uttarakhand.
In both States the wellbeing class is part of the ordinary school timetable and is taken by the regular government school teacher, not an outside counsellor.
The Indian non-profit Labhya is the knowledge partner for both and supplies the technical support and learning material.
In Uttarakhand the State Nodal Officer for Samagra Shiksha, Dr B P Mandoli, spoke for Anandam.
Samagra Shiksha is the Union scheme that funds school education from pre-primary to Class 12.
