Telangana opens an Innovation Startup Challenge with eighteen problem statements and a Demo Day at T-Hub

The Government of Telangana has opened the Telangana Innovation Startup Challenge, which asks startups, individual innovators and university research teams to solve problems its own departments face. Its tagline is Build for Telangana, Scale to the World. Eighteen challenge statements are on offer, twelve of them in the power sector, covering grid mapping, drone inspection of assets, billing help and storm outage prediction. The rest include solar-powered irrigation, food safety in welfare hostels, satellite watch over lakes and government land, pothole detection, needle-free anaemia screening and a Telugu reading test built on artificial intelligence. Applications close on 20 November, and shortlisted teams pitch at a Demo Day at T-Hub in Hyderabad on 1 December. Those chosen may show their work at the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026. T-Hub, T-Works, WE Hub, TASK and RICH are the listed partners, and selection by itself assures no contract or order.
